The Department of Children's Ministries exists to train, resource, and support those who minister to children, ages birth through eighth grade. To accomplish this, the department seeks to create learning mechanisms that are:
- Grace oriented--keeping Jesus at the center
- Relational--giving perspectives that prioritize people and relationships
- Inclusive--valuing both the children and those who minister
- Informed--offering effective training
- Supportive--encouraging a support network for leaders and teachers
- Cooperative--joining in with other departments and ministries for wider service
Children's Ministries fulfills these objectives through collaboration with various entities and departments throughout the church. Children's programs supported by the department include: Adventurer Clubs, baptismal lessons, worship events, communion, evangelistic meetings, prayer meeting, stewardship, nursery, Sabbath school, and Vacation Bible school.
