BIOGRAPHY OF PASTOR  AINSWORTH E. JOSEPH

Pastor Ainsworth E. Joseph was born on the twin Island Republic of Trinidad and Tobago West Indies. He is a product of Seventh-day Adventists Christian Education. He attended University of Southern Caribbean where he obtained his initial preparation for the gospel ministry. Subsequently, he attended Hofstra University and obtained a Master of Science degree in Administration and recently, he completed Post Graduate studies in Psychotherapy specializing as a Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist at the said Hofstra University. Currently, he is doctoral candidate at Andrews University Theological Seminary along the concentration of Leadership.

Pastor Joseph has been in the ministry for twenty years, and was ordained to the said office in 1993. Prior to this assignment at the Kingsboro Temple, he served at the Queensboro Temple for 5 1/4 years. Under his leadership the Queensboro Temple experienced phenomenal growth spiritually, numerically, financially, and has become a true community based church offering a wide variety of services that meet needs and empower individuals within the church and the wider community. Pastor Joseph also accomplished the unique experience of becoming a recording artist along with Just for Praiz when they released the album “WORTHY” in February 2004 at the Queensboro Temple.

During his ministerial tenure he held varying positions in two Conferences namely: Associate Departmental Director, Pastor/Evangelist, School Board Chairman, and member of K-12 Board. Pastor Joseph also planted 4 church congregations, established 1 school, supervised the construction of 5 church buildings and 1 school and led over 1300 souls to Christ and the Seventh-day Adventist Church through baptism. Over the past 13 years Pastor Joseph became known for his expertise in sponsoring/conducting marriage and family seminars and retreat camps in the United States, Canada Africa, UK and the Caribbean. He is sought after for his unique style of performing marriages, and the in-depth premarital counseling done with couples.

Pastor Joseph’s companion and partner in ministry for 17 plus years is the former Gillian Mc kenna. They produced 3 daughters: Kohren, Kohrissa, and Kohriese. One of his favorite scripture in the Bible is Isaiah 40:31 which says, “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary and they shall walk and not faint.”
